Today marks week three in my Six Week Body Makeover Experiment. If you haven’t been following along, you can read week one’s update here, and week two’s here.

While the 6WBMO is not a new process for me, what I hope to portray through documenting my progress is that not only is it very effective for weight loss, but also it is a healthy way to lose weight. Simply put, you eat “real food” and you get to eat very often; every 2.5 to 3 hours, the purpose being to get your metabolism going and to keep that fire burning!

You don’t spend hours upon hours in the gym working out, but instead learn that the most effective form of fat burning is walking; 30 – 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week within your target heart rate zone (THR). Additionally you learn targeted body sculpting exercises to reshape your body with resistance training. You do this at home with resistance bands that come with your kit. They are like having a home gym in your pocket.

I personally love the Six Week Body Makeover because it taught me how to cook healthy meals, how to work out effectively, and simply how to live a healthy lifestyle, instead of eating diet food out of a box (something I’ve done before!).

My progress stats speak for themselves: this week I’ve lost an additional 2 pounds (total 9.5 lbs). More exciting than that are my inches: 3 more inches have melted off (total 7 inches), which means that my clothes are fitting much better, especially my pants. As I’ve written before, I am much happier with how my clothes fit, than I am with the number on the scale.

There is so much to the 6WBMO, when you purchase the kit you receive all of the tools that you need to create a healthy way of life for yourself. You learn how to live with food, eating to live rather than living to eat. Something else that I love about the Six Week Body Makeover is that this was the way that I learned how to get off of sugar, and other addictive ingredients.

Although this is not what the 6WBMO is purported to be (it is marketed for weight loss), it is nevertheless a perfect solution that shows you how to get off of sugar. In fact, when I documented my Ban the Refined Sugar Experiment, the basis for how I ate was the 6WBMO. I also eliminated any food high in natural sugar, and sugar alcohols, which meant that I did not eat protein bars, something that is OK for the 6WBMO maintenance phase.

Next Monday I will give you another update. In the meantime, if you’d like to get started on your own body makeover 😉 , you can find the Six Week Body Makeover here:
