Looking for some online reading this weekend? Check these out:

A sad tale of bread gone wrong – Karen at Best of Mother Earth recently learned that her all-time favorite bread has been transformed into a third-rate loaf. While she’s quite disappointed (I understand since it now contains crystalline fructose), she gives us the important reminder that we must take matters into our own hands and read those food labels. That’s right, do not pass go and buy any food until you know what’s in it.

  • More tips on eating healthy – Here are some tips from Scott on how to eat healthier. He doesn’t use the words “healthy lifestyle” in his article but that’s exactly what he’s talking about – creating changes that last longer than one or two weeks. Check out his article and see if you get the same message from it like I did.
  • Save some money with your oven – Here’s an energy saving tip from Birney that you can use when you’re cooking your 6-Week Body Makeover recipes or any other clean eating recipe you’re preparing in the oven. I really enjoy Birney’s tips, and while his blog isn’t about health and fitness I recommend you check out some of his other articles, also. After all, why not save on your energy bills so that you have more money to by those cute clothes for your fit body!

And in other news:

  • Are you a rose gardener? – If you’ve been doing my 31 Days of Loving Yourself Thin series, you know that I highly recommend the teachings of Louise L. Hay. Something you may not know about her is that she is an avid gardener, and in honor of her 80th birthday a new hybrid rose has been named after her. It’s a beautiful, apricot rose and if I were a rose gardener I’d order one of these.

I will though, be planting some of my own whole foods this spring; some of the same foods that I currently eat (peppers, tomatoes, green beans). I’ll be letting you know how that goes. 😉
