How are you feeling today? Did you overeat on take-out last night and are feeling the effects now? Did you binge on sweets and wish you hadn’t? Are you feeling bad about slipping into old habits and today are saying, “what the heck, I already blew it, might as well eat whatever I want to”?

In this present moment, we all have the choice of which road we will take. Our current state of mind, body, and soul might not be feeling as positive and uplifted as usual, however what we choose to do today will determine how we feel and where we end up tomorrow and next week.

So what if you abused yourself and indulged in old habits? So what if you jumped on the scale and it read +5 lbs? You can choose to stop the self-destructive behavior this very moment, and move on to healthier actions now.

Don’t allow yourself to keep sliding down that hole of negative actions; I’ve done that before, and I can tell you that months later, I ended up with approximately 30 extra pounds of regained weight that I had previously lost. If I had just stopped my negative behaviors back when I was feeling poorly for regaining 5 pounds after going back to old ways of eating (after I had lost 43.5 pounds!), then I could have saved myself a lot of grief.

If you are currently struggling with regrets after losing weight and regaining some that you previously lost, you can choose to let those heavy thoughts go, and go for healthy, positive actions today. Choose to move in a positive direction and create a healthy tomorrow for yourself. It’s always your choice and we can each choose to make things a little better and a little easier for ourselves. 🙂
