Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome. – Samuel Johnson
Do you want to start a weight loss program, however you feel the timing just isn’t right? Do you have upcoming plans that you feel won’t work with your goals right now? (i.e.: a birthday party, holiday, or new job) Are you finding it hard to get motivated to change because of these reasons? If so, that’s OK, you don’t have to change everything all at once.
What if instead of waiting until you have everything lined up and in place before you make any changes, you simply commit to making one small change? If you currently drink soda, you could cut down to one per day and replace the rest with water (pure water, not the sports drink type). Is your lifestyle almost completely sedentary? It is recommended to walk at least 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week, however what if you were to commit to only 10 minutes, 2 days a week?
Your circumstances need not be perfect before you begin to make healthy changes in your lifestyle. Try thinking of the small ways that you can begin to make changes today. The better you start to feel after making only a couple of changes, the higher your motivation will rise. The more motivated you become, the more you will want to do. You could read one of my previous posts for a list of 9 different lifestyle changes you could make if you would like more ideas. You could pick one of these from the list, and take it from there.
Motivation can be increased with action, however we must jump in and start somewhere. If you start now, before you know it you will be looking back on this moment and thanking yourself for taking action, instead of waiting for the perfect time.
The biggest enemy when you state a commitment is your self, I do once plan to working with my body, i sign-up a membership to a gym and started practice 5 days a week… 😀
I was continuing to loose 300-400 cal every session, which is took 1 hour in treadmill. its make me happy, but then when i realize that i consume more than 700 cal every day with just a swoop, i started to lost my passion to eat, I know how hard to burn that cal go away…
there for i choose to quit and continue eating what i want and increase 10 kg for just 3 month.
shame on me… 😳
any suggestion will do 😀
Yes, I agree, we are almost always our “own worst enemy”.
It’s easy to sabotage your own best efforts, however on the other hand, when you stick with the committment you made to yourself, it truly gives you a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
I personally don’t get into calorie counting, it makes me crazy and it feels like dieting. It sounds like your motivation dropped after you figured out the balance of calories in the food you eat vs. working out.
If you want to count calories, what if you figured out the # of calories in whole foods that you could cook and compare them to the # of calories in pre-packaged, processed food? That could give you some motivation right there!
That’s a large benefit for me to the 6WBMO — there is no calorie counting, however you are guided as to which food groups to eat, as well as when and how much to eat. Believe me, you eat A LOT, but you lose weight.
Please don’t feel down on yourself for gaining 10kg; you can learn from it and move forward. 😉
Hope this helps!
