Do you over exercise so you can overeat?
Do people look at you and assume you don’t have a weight problem even though you’re a binge eater?
Do you cover up your binge eating with extra workouts?
Believe it or not, this is a common problem, especially among those who appear to have it all together when it comes to their eating and exercise routines.
But what you don’t know (unless you are that person) is whether or not they are living a struggle-free healthy lifestyle, OR if their life is filled with day-to-day drama, constantly fighting their urge to overeat and binge eat. And then, because they don’t want anyone to know that they have a binge eating problem, they over exercise feverishly, out of fear of gaining weight.
Do You Overexercise to Cover Up Binge Eating? [Podcast #109]
In this episode of The JoLynn Braley Show I’ll share more with you about this topic of over exercising for the purpose of overeating, out of fear of anyone finding out that you have a problem (which they would know if you were to gain weight). It’s an interesting, unhealthy behavior, and it’s often found in the fitness industry with those who have not healed the root of their emotional eating or binge eating behaviors.
It can be a very frustrating way of life for someone who (to others) looks like they really have their act together, because secretly that person is out of control with their eating. several reasons why you can’t stop eating. Some have to do with the processed food you’re addicted to but even if you eat clean, you’ll still struggle unless you take just a small amount of time and heal what is driving your over eating behaviors.
