The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It’s your mind you have to convince. ~ Vincent Lombardi

I love this quote and it ties right in to many of the posts that I’ve written before about changing your thoughts, as well as the posts I’ve written about the mind-body connection, meaning that the body and the mind are connected rather than separate.

No matter how much abuse you might have given your body up to this point, it’s not too late to make some changes and start treating your body better today. The human body has miraculous ways of healing itself, if you only give it the chance to do so. When you return to eating whole foods instead of processed, pre-packaged, additive-filled foods, when you eat only when hungry, eating for fuel instead of emotions, your body will rejoice and start working on repairing itself.

Your body can stand a lot of abuse from you, but I do think it’s a good idea to lay off and allow it to heal itself before you push it too far. If you’ve been feeding your body a lot of non-nutritive, dead, processed foods, why not start today and take away some of that processed food and replace it with some fresh fruits and vegetables? How about replacing the soda with clean water? When you give your body a break it will miraculously begin to bounce back and repair itself, if you just give it a chance.

Your Body Can Bounce Back If You Let It
