One of my permanent weight loss coaching clients shared something interesting on the coaching call yesterday.
She said that after I taught her exactly how to eat like a naturally slender person last week she can already see that this is vastly different than all of the fast fat loss diets she did in the past.
She is learning how to trust herself, trust her own decisions, and especially she’s learning how to trust her own body! And she knows exactly how to discover what is the right thing for HER to eat at the particular time.
She’s no longer listening to the mainstream diet gurus who say, “Eat this, don’t eat that, don’t eat at this time, or that time, or that food!”. Instead she is listening to herself. Which is easy for her now, since she has the specific Inner Self Tools to work with!

Why Doesn’t Fast Fat Loss Last?
So why doesn’t fast fat loss last? Why is it that you can drop 10 pounds in a month (or maybe a week!) but you’re still struggling years later? Weighing even more than you did when you did that fast fat loss diet!
Well another client of mine, Dave, would be a great one to ask! After he’s dropped 90 pounds without any struggle and he did so the struggle-free way. How did he do it?
He changed on the inside first! I worked with Dave back in 2010 and he sent me an update early in 2012 to say he’d dropped 90 pounds now. And he didn’t give up his pretzels! Which for him, is important.
The reason that fast fat loss doesn’t last is because you must be a match on the inside to the body you want on the outside. You CAN force yourself to lose weight but when your outside no longer matches the Mindset you have on the inside, in your Inner Self, then you must rubber band back to the overweight body you had before!
Universal Law: The Inner and the Outer always match. Always.
Your Outside, your body, matches what you have going on on the Inside.
When you have a weight loss mindset then there is no struggle whatsoever to drop the fat and keep it off. There’s also no rush to do it! Feeling desperate to drop the fat is rooted in Fear, which of course is one part of an F.A.T. Mindset. A mindset that matches your overweight body.
Therefore, it’s easy to see that another reason that fast fat loss never lasts is because you never changed your Mindset to match the fit, healthy, sexy body you crave to have on the outside. Therefore, even if you force yourself to lose weight fast, you cannot maintain it.
Another reason that fast fat loss cannot last is because you must have the healthy lifestyle to maintain your new body after you lose the fat!
But now we are full circle back to the beginning: without the MINDSET in place you will not be able to stay consistent with all of the healthy actions that are naturally a part of a healthy lifestyle. And then you’re back to square one, feverishly searching for yet another fast fat loss plan to get the weight off, only to regain it shortly after losing it (plus more!).
This debilitating pattern is a thing of the past once you have a Weight Loss Mindset.
Mindset is 90% of your success with your weight (or your failure!).
Diet and exercise is only a mere 10%.
